**FEATURED ON WANDERING WEDDINGS BLOG**
This beautiful, styled elopement was scheduled for sunrise on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 at the base of Cathedral Rock in Sedona, AZ. All of my hard work finally coming together! The day before, I was running around gathering all the pieces from the vendors (florals, cake, etc.). We had some amazing vendors, scroll to the bottom to check them out (after looking through all the photos of course)!
Anyways, the morning of everything seemed to be going as planned until the make-up artist reached out to me and let me know that the couple had not yet shown up. I quickly sent a text, called, and headed to the origin of the models and I’s conversations–instagram. It was on Instagram that I quickly figured out that they had blocked me. What!? Why!? I was so confused, as of the day or two before they were super excited and couldn’t wait for the shoot, I just did not understand why they wouldn’t at least tell me they were no longer interested the night before so I could have a chance at finding new models. It was the morning of, 1-2 hours before the shoot was supposed to begin and I was FREAKING OUT!
The make-up artist, Jaliza, ended up asking me if I needed a model and offering to model as the bride. She drove to her friends house and quickly got him ready to model as the groom for sunrise after doing her make-up and stopping at Patricia Vega Studio to get her hair done. Everything seemed to be on track finally, but I was unsure how everything was going to go moving forward.
Eric and Jaliza were AMAZING and life-savers in such an unfortunate happening. Honestly, the shoots results could not have been better! I am so in love with every photo, the florals, cake + the experience will only make future experiences like these better!
