Hey there friend, if you have been wondering where the heck Mitch and I’s engagement photos are….I AM FINALLY SHARING THEM WITH YOU!!
Mitch and I are high school sweethearts from rival schools. We have been together for 5.5 years and it will be just short of 6 years when we get married in June!
Mitch proposed on December 31, 2019 at one of my favorite state parks around, Good Earth. Mitch asked if I wanted to head out there to scout for winter engagement photos, I said yes without hesitation. This activity was quite regular for us, although looking back I feel like Mitch would not have even mentioned scouting on a normal instance. So surprisingly, I did not anticipate him proposing at all which shocked the both of us afterwards when we talked about because of how often I normally thought about it and talked about it.
We had walked pretty far out there and were just looking out enjoying the view – again, no thoughts of getting engaged in my mind. Suddenly I looked over my left shoulder and Mitch pulls a box out of his coat pocket. SHOCKED, my hands immediately covered my mouth. He got down on one knee and the first things that comes out of my mouth is, “Oh shut up” as I gesture for him to stop messing around. In my defense he was constantly joking about proposing to me. I honestly can’t remember if I had said yes or not, all I remember is grabbing the ring out of the box and placing it on my left finger. I was in awe at how beautiful the ring was and just how perfect that moment was.
